Sex Therapy

Sexuality is one of the most tender, complex, and human parts of our lives. It holds our histories, our longings, our fears, our boundaries, and our desire for connection. When something feels out of sync - in our bodies, our relationships, or our sense of self - it can ripple into every corner of our lives.

Sex therapy offers a space to explore these experiences with care, depth, and attunement.

Get Started

What Sex Therapy Is

Sex therapy is a form of psychotherapy that supports individuals and couples in exploring concerns related to sexuality, intimacy, desire, and connection. It is talk‑based, trauma‑informed, and grounded in emotional and relational understanding ...not only behavioural prescriptions or performance‑focused strategies.

In this work, we explore the emotional, relational, cultural, and bodily layers that shape your sexual experiences. Together, we move at a pace that honours your nervous system, your boundaries, and your story.

My Approach

My work is rooted in psychodynamic, feminist, and intersystems frameworks. This means I hold sexuality as something shaped by:

  • personal history
  • relational patterns
  • attachment
  • trauma
  • culture, identity, and systemic forces
  • the body’s wisdom and protective strategies

I support clients in exploring how desire, pleasure, and intimacy are influenced by both what has happened to them and what they long for now. This work is slow, relational, and grounded in consent, curiosity, and compassion.

Common Reasons People Seek Sex Therapy

People come to sex therapy for many reasons, including:

  • changes in desire (high, low, or mismatched)
  • difficulty with arousal or orgasm
  • painful sex or fear around sexual touch
  • intimacy blocks or avoidance
  • sex after trauma
  • shame, guilt, or confusion around sexuality
  • navigating cultural, religious, or family conditioning
  • exploring identity, orientation, or desire
  • rebuilding connection in long‑term relationships
  • healing from betrayal, rupture, or relational disconnection

You don’t need to have the “right” words or a clear question. We can begin wherever you are.

How I Work

 Sex therapy with me is:

  • talk‑based
  • emotionally attuned
  • trauma‑informed
  • consent‑centred
  • paced with your nervous system
  • rooted in relational safety

My clinical training includes Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems for couples and families, and Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy. These modalities help us explore both the inner world and the relational patterns that shape sexual connection.

Sessions may include exploring:

  • the emotional meaning of sexual experiences
  • the body’s protective responses
  • attachment patterns
  • relational dynamics
  • cultural and systemic influences
  • desire, boundaries, and pleasure

There is no pressure to move faster than you want to. Your pace is the pace.

Who I Work With

 I support:

  • individuals
  • couples
  • survivors
  • people exploring identity or desire
  • those navigating cultural or religious complexities
  • anyone longing for a more grounded, connected relationship with their sexuality
