Sex Therapy Fundamentals: (Training by Rahim Thawar)
Covered the foundational theories, concepts, and practical approaches in sex therapy. I learned to apply the bio-psycho-social model to address diverse sexual concerns, integrate trauma-informed care to support clients in navigating shame and boundaries, and develop tools to foster intimacy & communication, and to explore their desires, improve emotional connection, and create healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Integrative Sex and Couples Therapy: (Training by Tammy Nelson)- In Progress
Advanced tools to support individuals and couples with sexual concerns, intimacy challenges, relationship dynamics, and evolving models of connection. This training integrates evidence-based approaches and experiential techniques to enhance my clinical work in sex, couple, and relational therapy.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) centers on attachment-related emotional experiences. This approach fosters emotional regulation and self-awareness, empowering individuals to cultivate more secure attachment styles and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships with themselves and others. Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) is designed to help couples identify and understand their relational patterns. It encourages partners to work together to address these dynamics, fostering connection and collaboration rather than conflict.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a deeply transformative, evidence-based approach to therapy that helps individuals, couples, and families understand and heal their inner worlds. IFS is based on the idea that we all have different “parts” within us—each with its own feelings, needs, and roles—and that healing happens when these parts can work together under the guidance of our calm, compassionate core “Self Energy.”
